These vines have been identified and marked, thanks to the expertise of the world-renowned nurseryman <strong>Pierre-Marie Guillaume<\/strong>, so that the finest buds can be taken from them. This method of selection preserves the site\u2019s original genetics rather than replacing it with industrial clones. New vines are therefore created using the DNA of the historic vines \u2013 the same genetics, <strong>the same characteristics, the same connection to the soil<\/strong>. The aim is simple yet powerful: to ensure that what has survived for a hundred years can live on for at least a hundred more.<\/p><p><strong style=\"color: #867870;\">THE IDENTITY OF THE \u201cALBERELLO\u201d<\/strong><\/p><p>The \u201calberello\u201d bush-trained vine is the oldest and most authentic form of <strong>Apulian viticulture<\/strong>. It was brought here by the Greeks, and here it has found its ideal habitat. The vine grows low to the ground, close to the soil, protected from the heat and wind, and is able to thrive even in dry farming conditions. With few buds and small bunches, this system focuses not on quantity but on genetic
